Shalom! My name is Rachel Scheinberg and I am currently 19 years old. I live in Miami, Florida where I attended a Jewish day school until 7th grade. Then I switched to a public school for middle and high school. The summer going into my senior year, I went on The Jerusalem Journey with NCSY and fell in love with Judaism. This past summer I was also in Israel on a program called July in Jerusalem. It was amazing. I have two older brothers and a dog named Ernie. I hate celery and love slurpees. I’m currently unsure what I am going to major in but I’ll figure it out eventually. My birthday is April 29th and my favorite colors are white and orange. I love to write and I used to play basketball for 10 years. As of now I am hoping to make Aliyah someday. This is me!

This is my first year at Stern as well as my first year in a religious school, and I’m loving it. Looking forward to see what the next three years have in store.

I'm so happy to be in ulpan and have the opportunity to learn hebrew. I tried learning this summer in Israel but was unsuccessful but I hope to now be successful. My favorite color is blue and I was born on June 3rd. My favorite food is ice cream and I enjoy long walks on the beach. Well on that note remember to stay classy! Shalom chaverim!

Hi, My name is Nadya. I'm 18 years old. I'm from Minsk, Belarus (and it is NOT a part of Russia :) ) I went to high school in Beth Jacob Detroit, however, didn't take Hebrew there. I am really hoping to learn how to read, speak and write in Hebrew well during this course.
